The entire colony was decorated with lights, pumpkins, candles and festoons except this house. This one looked dark away from the lights in last corner of the block. Only the yellow dim light was gleaming softly on the top of the door. But the house was beautiful of course painted white and the gardens were clean. Bill has no other works so he keeps his house clean rather than wasting time. Tom rang the doorbell once again. He had a bag of chocolates in his hand like his father suggested. The house seemed haunted for its coldness. Tom gulped. He did not dare to ring the bell one more time.

Fortunately someone opened the door after a long wait. Tom sighed noisily in relief. A middle aged man peeked half hidden.

„Who?“ he narrowed his eyes at the stranger.

„Uh…“ Tom postured straight like a good boy.

„Are you Mr. Kaulitz?“ He gave him a polite smile.

„Mm-hmm.“ The man nodded.

„Hello, sir. I’m Tom, Bill’s classmate. I’ve come to visit him. Is he home?“ He tried to look over into the house. Jörg’s face turned soft. He opened the door fully this time and gave a polite smile back.

„Come in,“ he moved aside. Tom entered. The house was beautiful, clean and well organized.

„Wow! Nice house,“ Tom remarked looking around. Jörg chuckled. „Bill cleans the house. It’s his way to pass the time,“ he informed. Tom looked back at the man smiling.

„Really?“

„Hmm,“ Jörg grinned. He was happy that someone has come to visit his son for the first time in their life. „What did you say your name, son?“

„It’s Tom, sir,“ Tom uttered politely.

„Tom,“ Jörg nodded to himself. „Nice name…“ he sighed as if this name made him remind someone, someone so close. „Are you Bill’s friend?“

Tom nodded grinning. „Yeah.“

Jörg’s eyes sparkled with trillions of stars. „Nice to meet you, son. I can’t believe that someone has come to visit Bill.“

Tom narrowed his eyes. „What do you mean?“

„No one ever comes to visit him. Nobody talks to him for his look and getup. Hope you understand.“

„No one ever came?“ Tom gasped in disbelief. He felt his stomach squirming inside and the heart banging on his ribs. His chest ached. He sighed when Jörg shook his head with a ‚never‘.

Jörg walked close to him.

„You look familiar, like I’ve seen you somewhere before,“ he said narrowing his eyes with a smile.

„Hey, I feel the same when I see Bill,“ Tom laughed. Jörg laughed too.

„Maybe it’s the affection,“ he notified. Tom nodded.

„Where’s Mrs. Kaulitz?“ he scanned around with his eyes.

Jörg’s face turned unhappy. „We got divorced. Bill has a twin. She got his custody and I got Bill’s custody when they were 3. Since then we never met. Neither did Bill ever meet his mother. He cries to meet her, but I don’t know where she is. She left the country with her new husband and Bill’s twin,“ he explained glumly. Tom felt like bursting into tears.

„You guys separated the twins!“

„It’s the court, not us. Bill wanted his father, his twin wanted his mother. So court had to separate them. But now Bill regrets choosing me,“ he sighed.

„I’m sure he doesn’t… he just misses his mother. Nothing else,“ Tom said putting his hand on Jörg’s shoulder. „I’m sorry Mr. Kaulitz. I made you upset,“ he said apologetically. Jörg shook his head.

„No, it’s okay, son. Go meet him. He’s upstairs. That’s his room,“ he pointed to Bill’s bedroom door. Tom grinned widely this time. He forgot everything else.

„Thank you Mr. Kaulitz,“ he walked upstairs. He was shaking with nervousness. He did not know how to talk to Bill. All he knew was he was finally going to meet Bill after a long break.

Tom soundlessly turned the knob. Surprisingly the door cooperated with him not making a single creaking noise. He thanked the god and entered like a ghost. The room looked tidy and ordered. There was a dressing table. There were a few dark eye-shadow boxes, mascara and eye-liners spattered on the table. Bill was on his bed looking away at the window, distant. Tom could not see his face. Bill’s hair was not puffed up and not even straight. The tresses in his hair were a bit of wavy on places like they have just dried after taking shower. The white locks were flashing out from his jet black curls. He had his nail paints on his nails but chipped on the tips. Tom closed the door behind him. He silently walked to his bed hiding the chocolate bag behind him and finally dared to clear his throat. Bill jumped a little bit. He turned his head back to see. His eyes widened with shock.

„You!“ He almost yelled.

„Shh, shh, don’t panic. I’m here to visit you,“ Tom explained.

Bill narrowed his eyes cautiously. „Weren’t you supposed to be in the Halloween party right now?“ he asked, still cautious of Tom’s sudden kiss.

„I changed my mind lately,“ Tom shrugged. „Can I sit?“ he asked. Bill raised one eyebrow. He thought something for a while and then permitted nodding.

„Sure.“

Tom sighed in relief. He walked to the window and sat in front of Bill, inches away from him; still hiding the bag behind him. Bill moved back giving him space on his bed. That was the first time when Tom has clearly seen the boy’s face. He was not wearing any makeup. His face was just clean and he looked like every other ordinary human. But he looked like a naive angel to Tom or maybe more beautiful than an angel. Tom’s mouth hung open at the softness and innocence of Bill’s face. He stretched out his arm. Bill moved back cautiously. Tom did not care. He softly moved his palm no Bill’s face. It felt smooth and pure. The touch was familiar; even Bill’s makeupless face was familiar. Bill was alert.

Tom sighed in relief.

„You don’t know how much I missed you,“ he said closing his eyes peacefully. Bill pushed Tom away gently and sat straight.

„Aren’t you straight, Tom?“ He asked, curious.

„I guess I am,“ Tom nodded meaningfully.

„What do you mean you guess?“

„Because I don’t feel gay with you,“ Tom shrugged.

„Not even after kissing me twice?“ Bill narrowed his eyes in disbelief.

Tom clucked his tongue. „Nah. All I know is just I love you and I care for you,“ he pulled Bill close and hugged him. Bill wanted to dodge but didn’t when Tom started cuddling him with a fatherly support. He caressed his palm on Bill’s head, pampering his loved one. Bill did not know why and how but he felt easy and comfortable in Tom’s arms. His face turned softer. He sighed.

„Do you really care for me?“ He asked unconsciously and widened his eyes in shock after asking, wondering how he could ask that from that perverted kissing fella.

„I do. I regret hurting you. Forgive me, Billie,“ Tom kissed on Bill’s forehead. Bill’s jaws dropped apart in shock.

„What made those unexpected changes in you, Tom?“

„It’s you,“ Tom replied without waiting a second.

Bill sighed. „I did nothing. But I think I’ve met you somewhere.“

„Hey, I think the same. Even your dad says that I seem familiar to him. Well he showed logic too. He said that it’s just affection,“ Tom shrugged. Bill rolled his eyes.

„My dad’s never logical.“

„Why? Doesn’t he love you?“ Tom narrowed his eyes.

„Yes he does, but he’s busy most of times. He leaves me alone in home. I have no friends to visit. I feel bored,“ Bill sighed.

„Aww,“ Tom laughed sadly. „How do you pass your time then?“

„By doing homework, chores, watering the garden, writing songs and wearing makeup,“ Bill uttered uninterestedly. Tom narrowed his eyes smiling.

„You write songs? Can I see them?“

Before Bill could say a ‚no‘, Tom interrupted. „I know you won’t say no,“ he cleared. Bill shook his head smiling. He pulled the blanket away and got out of the bed. Tom noticed Bill was in his PJ and an old soft comfy t-shirt. He chuckled. He has never seen him like this before. Bill opened his drawer and got some papers out of it. He handed the papers to Tom. „How’s neck, by the way? I forgot to ask,“ Tom asked taking the papers from him.

„It’s fine. I’m gonna go school from Monday,“ Bill declared. Tom grinned.

His eyes flickered at the first paper. He attentively read the song Bill wrote. A slight smile flashed on his face. Bill looked embarrassed. He has never got any remark for his talent. So he was not sure if Tom would like them. One by one, Tom checked all the songs. Every time his grin widened with each paper. Eventually he finished them and left a big satisfied sigh. He looked up at Bill.

„Great!“ was all he could speak for the moment. Bill could understand. He silently sat next to Tom and looked at him with confused eyes. Tom laughed. „I play guitar. I’m gonna play your songs in my guitar. Do you have any idea about the music?“

Bill’s eyes widened. „Do you really like them?“ he grinned.

„Mm-hmm… they’re amazing!“ Tom nodded.

„Thank you,“ Bill hugged him over-excitedly. Tom smirked.

„Whose melting now,“ he teased. Bill rolled his eyes. He left him immediately.

„Gay“ he grumbled. Tom scoffed.

„Oh I bought chocolates for you, thought you’d like them,“ Tom got the bag and handed it to Bill. Bill snatched it from him giving him a toothy grin. Tom laughed.

„I love them,“ Bill uttered happily. He pulled two chocolates out and handed one to Tom.

„No, I don’t like chocolates,“ Tom refused.

„Oh…“ Bill pouted. Tom sighed.

„Okay I can try one,“ he said to make Bill happy. Bill grinned and tore the packet of his one’s and so did Tom. They ate the chocolate wafers together.

author: amazinglife2011

author: amazinglife2011 The doorbell rang.
